Steampunk, really? Are you coming in costume?

Katy and Dave will be in costume. You are certainly not required to if it doesn’t strike your fancy.

What is steampunk, anyway?

Steampunk describes a world with technology roughly equivalent to the late 20th century, but set in a society like that of the 1800’s. Also, everything is powered by steam. Think 20 Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.

Are kids welcome?

Yes! We’re bringing our kids, you should bring yours. We’re also sending our kids home with a babysitter for bed time, so we can stay later.

Are there kid activities?

Yes! There’s a room for the kids with entertainment until 7:00.

Are there adult activities?

Yes, we’re bringing our adults, you should bring yours.  There will be food, drink, dancing, cake, and conversation. (The cake will be awesome.)

No gifts? Seriously?

We would much prefer your presence to your presents. Dave has enough stuff.

What’s with the other party going on outside?

People are allowed to have parties. Even if we’re not invited. Hopefully it won’t get in the way too much.

Isn’t the courthouse two stories? Are there elevators?

Yes, it’s two stories. Yes, there are elevators. Also stairs.
